Links to your website are always important if you want to get high positions in the search result. You’re not allowed to buy links but there are other ways to get (legal) backlinks. Wiep just showed me a nice customized google search engine; CommentHunt. Use CommentHunt to find (high) pagerank blogs without nofollow tags.
